As requested by my students and customers, I have initiated a virus and security alert page to help you determine the current threats. I receive a lot of emails that are virus hoaxes, but they are sent to me 'just in case'.
Now you can check this page out to see what the current threats are. I have brought together several sources which not only show current virus outbreaks; but also other security risks like adware, spyware, phishing and software vulnerabilities. They can all be caterogized under the heading "MALWARE."
If you see the words SECURITY ALERT or HIGH RISK, this indicates the need to become educated on the latest virus or security issue. Please click on the links to learn more.

Featured Free-ware:
One of the most common problems facing my clients is spyware / adware. I go to their sites and they have slow PC's with pop-ups. Click on the link to the right to see if your PC has any current spyware. It's free.
The provided links have been hand selected as important links to improve your online security:
Have you received a notice from a friend that says don't open any attachments with a specific subject or else your PC will fry? Then check here first to see if it is real:
For continued protection I recommend an installed real-time virus protection program like Norton Antivirus, Trend Micro PC-cillin, Panda Antivirus / TruPrevent or McAfee VirusScan. See links above to obtain one of these software programs. These programs, once installed on your PC, continue to help prevent viruses from getting on your system.
But there are two on-line virus scanners that detects all in the wild viruses and cleans them off your PC once infected. Other browser based scanners simply detect, but don't remove the virus.
